Apartment in Frankfurt / Main at the Berger market

The loction in Frankfurt am Main Bornheim

The apartment is located directly at the Berger market near Berger Street, a nice shopping street with many Cafés, Bistros and Restaurants. Wednesday and Saturday there is a market in front of the door which offers you everything from A like avocado to Z like zucchini. Access to the underground in a distance of 20 m - direct connection to the fair (10 min. travel time), as well as to Central Station (8 min.) and to the city center (5 min.). Or take a nice 20 min. walk through shopping street and chinese garden to the city centre (Zeil). Two large parks and the Zoo in walking distance (5-12 minutes away).

The apartment

The apartment has 45 square meters and is ideal for 1-2 persons. It consists of a living room with sofa corner, large TV set and big table to work or to eat at (4-6 persons) and a bedroom with large wardrobe over a wall side, HiFi system with many CDs and doublebed (150x200). A third person could sleep on a sleeping sofa in the living room.

The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, gas cooker, washing machine with tumble dryer and all kinds of kitchenware (plates, glasses, cutlery, vases - everything available!). Also at your free disposal are all kinds of tea, coffee, spices and a hair dryer, shampoo, towels etc..

There is a bath tub in the kitchen, nearby a small TV set on a rotating disc.

In the corridor you can find a hatstand and a big mirror. There is also a cordless telephone and a similar (analog) telephone connection - in case you want to use your laptop.

Yessss - the kitchen and the bath are in one! That makes it somehow very pleasant. Everybody who comes in likes it very much; it is not embarrassing or to refuse at all.

After a long day on the book fair you can take a bath in the tub and watch TV, while your boy- / girlfriend prepares some Spaghetti for you! You can finish the evening taking a walk on the Berger Street and have a last drink in one of the Cafés.

The apartment has central heating and is completely renovated by the owner (Architect). Each room is glazed with pigments in a different pastellcolour, it is very well decorated, and the wooden floor gives a warm atmosphere. It is something for individualists, not for people, whom cabinet walls and ordinary double beds are important to..

The kitchen with bath views over the very calm back side into the green - quite idyllic, you can even observe birds!

The two other rooms face the road. It is a small side street of the Berger Street, directly at the Berger market, which is moderately loud. You hear the shallow veil of noise of the two main cafes on the Berger market come over occasionally, but it is not loud or unpleasant. If you are a light sleeper you should close the window while sleeping on Wednesday and Saturday: you could hear the building of the stands for the market in the morning.

In the house new cables were put - and now the staircase waits for its new painting. But the apartment is tidy and very clean. In the whole building there are new double isolated windows.

The owner would like to welcome international guests - she speaks English, French, Italian and Croatian.

Connection to the fairground in Frankfurt / Main:
The underground U4 in Bornheim Mitte right on the Berger Market ist only 20 m from here. Its a direct connection to the city center (Konstabler Wache - Zeil, 4 min) and to the fairground Frankfurt (8 min).

Parking is for free in the street, the situation is moderately difficult. A bicycle can be put in the backyard (it is quite secure there).
