Berlin Schöneberg guest room | |||||||
The roomVery large room (25 m²) with two beds and one extra bed. Nothing luxurious but everything you could need and in the middle in the "Kiez" (middle) of Schoeneberg. The apartment is on the second floor without elevator. The windows look onto the road and the room is not really ideal for noise-sensitive guests. The large advantage is the size of the room, the very good mattresses and the proximity to taverns, cafe, shopping possibilities. This accommodation is best suited to younger people, students, artists and academics who require a basic standard of comfort. It is an old building. Your room is sunset-facing and haswooden floor-boards. You share bathroom and shower facilities. Your
hostess is working in broadcasting, likes unorthodox (!) people and will gladly point you in the direction of a few nice corners of the city, if there is enough time left. The hostess would be also happy to learn more about her guests.
Please write briefly something about yourself in the form. For allergy sufferers: Sometimes the dog of the neighbors is here in care. To bring your pets is not possible. |

Schoeneberg - the districtSchöneberg is in west Berlin, and just as it is geographically located between Ku'damm and Kreuzberg, so also is the Schöneberg lifestyle somewhere in between the two: it is neither a bourgeois area like Ku'damm, nor a radically alternative district like Kreuzberg. With its stylish taverns, Cafés and restaurants the district becomes just as alive as the surrounding quarters. In order to experience Schoeneberg, you could visit the Winterfeldtmarket, at its best on the weekend, perhaps the most well-known weekly market in Berlin. Here there are high-quality fruit and vegetable stalls as well as flowers, cheese, furniture and clothes. After which, you can try out the numerous Cafés. It was in Schoeneberg city hall in 1963 that John F. Kennedy famously told the citizens of Berlin West: "Ich bin ein Berliner. The city-state was governed up to 1989 from Schoeneberg city hall. To this day you can hear the liberty bell ring each day at noon. The cemetery in the Stubenrauchstrasse reminds us of perhaps the most famous citizen of Berlin: the great Marlene Dietrich, born in Schoeneberg in 1901. Its conveniently located for public transport facilities. Only 15 Minutes to Ku´damm-Area or Potsdamer Platz - the biggest construction site in Europe and the new downtown of Berlin with its two IMAX cinemas, shoppingcentrel etc. Public transport in Berlin is very good - so everywhere is quickly accessible. Don´t forget that Berlin is the largest city in Germany with a population of 4 Million people. In Munich, the second largest city in Germany, there are only 1.4 Million inhabitants. From the north to the south, or from the East to the West, it will take approx. 2 hours.
