The
location
The summer house is found in the settlement area of Berlin - Biesdorf. By public transport you are in the heart of
the city within 30 minutes. The tram leaves every 3-7 minutes. There are
also night lines running.
The apartment is surrounded by a maintained
1100 m² large garden. This calm position offers respite - particularly
for Berlin visitors.
Additionally there are shopping centres with a supermarket,
baker's and butcher's as well as tram and bus, all are attainable within a 5 minute
walk.
Several restaurants, eg. German, Greek, Italian and Croatian are in close proximity.
The
summer house
The non-smoker-house is approx. 50 m². It consists of a large living room, large bedroom with a double bed (consisting of 2 single
beds), small bedroom with one bed, a kitchen, toilet/shower and and sheltered terrace with winter garden.
The living room is equipped with a comfortable sofa-bed (for 2 persons), TV, radio and a
large dining table.
The small kitchen is practically equipped with all basic needs catered
for. There is a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave with grill, coffee machine,
toaster, complete table-ware as well as a gas cooker. Cooking spices are also
provided.
The terrace / wintergarden is furnished, and it's a special pleasure to
have breakfast there or sit in the evening at the charcoal barbecue and to let the
day go by.
On the terrace and in the garden can be smoked. The house and the winter garden is non smoking.
The holiday house is electrically-heated. Additionally the chimney
oven can be ignited by the owner, providing comfortable warmth.
Bedlinen and
towels are made available and changed weekly.
With consideration for
our guests who are allergic to animal hair it is not possible to take domestic
animals with you.
Parking
situation No problem, there are always sufficient parking possibilities
in front of the property. The area is classified as safe.
Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) – LEZ stickers
The city zone (A) within the S-Bahn-Ring (city train circle) is part of the LEZ. If you want to drive with your car in the Berlin city centre, inform yourself here: LEZ stickers for tourists. This accommodation is located outside the LEZ. You can leave your car here and travel with public transport into the city centre.

Biesdorf
There isn't a great deal to say about the history of the village.
Napoleon made a stop here after conquering Jena and Auerstedt in 1806, and gave
a military parade to celebrate it. The first test drive
of an electric railroad in Germany took place in Biesdorf park.

Erholungspark
Marzahn: Another special attraction is the Chinese garden - the largest
in Europe. (only 10 min on foot)
The Tierpark Friedrichsfelde (animal park) with
a castle, provides an additional visiting option. Its the largest landscape-zoo
in Europe and open on 365 days a year. (yes, there is two of everyting in Berlin: two IMAX, two tv-towers, two zoos....)
Museum-Karlshorst
The museum
itself is rich in history: On 8 May 1945 in Berlin Karlshorst, it was here that
the surrender of the German armed forces was officially signed for signalling
the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Volkspark
Wuhlheide
In the forested park-area is the former "Pionierpark",
in which a park railway operates (travel time: 1:20 - 5:20 pm except Fridays,
on Sunday and holidays additionally of 10-12:00.
Treptower Park - Sowjetischem Ehrenmal (Soviet war memorial)
In the People's Park is the
station of the "Wiesse Flotte" (departure and dock-point for steamship
trips), the rose garden, a large entertainment park, and several restaurants,
steeped in tradition such as "Zenner" and the "Eierhaeuschen".
Köpenick
Beside Berlin/Coelln and Spandau, Koepenick is the third medieval city standing
within today's city boundary. The first recorded mentioning of Koepenik was in
the year 1283. What remains architechturally dates back no further than the Baroque
era, the castle of Koepenick, began its development as far back as 1558. The city
hall, built in the gothic-style 1901-04, is made famous by the world-renowned
story of "Hauptmann von Koepenick."
