... lies in West - Berlin, between Ku'damm and Kreuzberg. The suburb Friedenau is just an 8 minute ride with the metro from Kurfürstendamm, and because of its charming front gardens, is a very green and quiet area.

The room

The apartment on the first floor with one nice guest room for you. The room is with a double bed for couples.

There is TV and internet access.

Breakfast is not offered, but you may use the kitchen to prepare it yourself. Fresh foodstuffs may be stored in the fridge.

The bathroom is shared.

The hostess

The hostess looks after the rooms as well as making sure that you feel comfortable, with the hope that you will come again. She not only speaks German, but fluent English, good French, and a bit of Spanish too. She values the opportunity to meet new people from various cultures through her holiday rentals. She has lived in the area for many years and is familiar with all its ins and outs, she particularly likes the front gardens of the houses and the friendly Italians at the square, where one can sit together and enjoy a delicious and non-expensive meal.

Transport connections

… are very good. The metro is just 4 minutes away and there are several buses, also at night. An extra parking place is not offered, but there is free parking on the street, although sometimes scarce.

Friedenau...
...is a suburb in the Schöneberg area. Established in 1871, it was originally planned to be a villa suburb, but due to insufficient living space, many villas were pulled down and rental houses were erected in their place. The charm of this suburb doesn’t lie in the Rheinstrasse (Rhine Street) and adjacent shopping mile, Schlossstrasse, but in the many tree-lined residential streets with their front gardens, and the old houses - many of which have been declared historical buildings. In the 60’s and 70’s, Friedenau presented Berlins great poets. Berlin, the critical point between east and west, attracted society-critical writers. Günter Grass wrote his Nobel Award winning book „Blechtrommel“, the famous Marlene Dietrich, is buried here. Several charming pubs with good food round off this area as a suburb worth living in!
