Getting to the apartment:

a) by train

From Hauptbahnhof take bus number 147 (direction U Leopoldplatz) and travel direct for 6mins to Kiautschoustrasse. From here, it is only 200 m on foot, then you're there.

b) by plane:

From Tegel catch the Expressbus TXL, which will arrive at the Hauptbahnhof in 20 mins. From there, follow instructions as given in (a)

From Schönefeld travel by the Regionalexpress or the S-Bahn (various lines) to Hauptbahnhof and from there follow instructions as given in (a).

c) by car:

Travel on motorway A 100 (in direction of Wedding) up to the exit Seestraße then turn right into Sylter Straße. This goes across the north bank, keep going straight ahead to the end of the street (Ecke Lynarstraße).

Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) – LEZ stickers
The city zone (A) within the S-Bahn-Ring (city train circle) is part of the LEZ. If you want to drive with your car in the Berlin city centre, inform yourself here: LEZ stickers for tourists. This accommodation is located outside the LEZ. You can leave your car here and travel with public transport into the city centre.

The location of the apartment

From the former industrialised districts like Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain und Kreuzberg, which were built around the middle of the 19th century), Wedding has preserved its its glamorous facade soonest original charcter. The Berlin way of life 'all mouth, but all heart' is particularly empathised with in this region and furthermore, the central location is ideal for tourists. The centre, the Tiergarten, Charlottenburg, Prenzlauer Berg and Tegel airport directly border Wedding, beyond which you will find green oases extensively throughout the district, like the vast area of Humboldthain in the east and the idyllic Plötzensee in the south-west, Charlottenburg.

With its representative old buildings and a view of the Hohenzollern canal, this area is a veritable show-piece district. Not only the beautifully situated footpaths direct on the canal, but also the nearby shopping mile Müllerstraße, with all its customary retailers and a large department store, invite you to comfy half pints and strolls.

The Nordufer- abode lies in the centre of the district/Wedding between the underground station Amrumer Straße (Rudolf-Virchow-clinic of the charity hospital/ heart unit) and the train/ tube station Wedding. Therefore in a 10 minute journey you can reach the western part of the city (Zoo, Kurfürstendamm, KaDeWe), the east side (Friedrichstraße, Gendarmenmarkt) as well as Potsdamer Platz, with its touristic and cultural attractions. In the immediate vacinity you will also find numerous restaurants and Berlin pubs, where breakfast is also available.

The apartment

Modern and top of the range 2 room apartment (48 m²) for 1 to 6 guests in a newly built block (1998). On the first floor (with elevator) we offer you: parquet flooring, newly furnished lounge/bedroom with double soafabed, with additional camp bed if required, cable TV, separate bedroom with double bed, radio alarm.

A fully fitted kitchen (fridge, deep freeze, 4 ring hob, oven, coffee machine, toaster, kettle) with open work surface, bar stool and dining table, as well as a spacious new bath.

It is a no-smoking apartment- smoking is only permitted on the balcony.

Transport links

Almost right in front of the door is the Wedding rail (S-Bahn) station (200 m away). Apart from that, there is also the underground station Amrumer Straße (600 m away) and the bus stop Kiautschoustr (200 m away) From here you can reach:

Berlin Potsdamer Platz (approx 25 minutes): take bus number 147 from Kiautschoustrasse (direction Puschkinallee/Elsenstr.) to Hauptbahnhof. From there take the M41 bus (Sonnenalle/Baumschulenstr.) to Potsdamer Platz.
Berlin trade fair (approx 25 minutes): You take the circle line S42 from Wedding to Messe Nord/ICC.
Zoological Gardens (approx 20 minutes): Take the U9 (Rathaus Steglitz) from Amrumer Straße to S+U line Zoologischer Garten.
Berlin Centre Alexanderplatz (approx 30 minutes): Take bus 147 from Kiautschoustrasse (direction Puschkinallee/Elsenstrasse) to Hauptbahnhof (central station) than 3 stops of one of the various S-Bahn lines in direction east to Alexanderplatz.
Berlin Central station (Hauptbahnhof) (approx 10 minutes): Take bus number 147 from Kiautschoustrasse (direction Puschkinallee/Elsenstr.) to Hauptbahnhof.
